Ingredients

  • ½ cup of baking flour
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/8 cup of powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup of butter
  • 1 tbsp. of grated lemon zest
  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 tbsp. of salt
  • ¼ tbsp. of baking powder

Instructions

  • I turned my oven to 350 degrees F.
  • I mixed powdered sugar, baking flour, and butter in a bowl, then pressed it to shape in my 8-inch square pan without any oil or grease.
  • After getting a square-shaped crust, I then baked it for 20 minutes in the oven.
  • I mixed the rest of the ingredients apart from powdered sugar using my kitchen mixer and turned on high speed until I got a fluffy mix, which took me about 3 minutes.
  • With my fluffy mix in the bowl, I then poured them over the hot crust of the step 3results. I then baked for another 30 minutes (that was when there was no indentation left).
  • I then let them cool for about 1 hour on the cooling rack while still in the pan.
  • Aftercooling, I then sprinkled powdered sugar, cut it into square pieces, and I had my pieces.
